Happy Halloween

Eamon has been busy! He now walks holding onto a walker. He is getting very daring and actually lets go and tries to stand himself. He is also able to take about 3 steps if between 2 people. On saturday he actually stood up by himself from a squating position! Halloween was a very busy time. He had a daycare party where he walked in the parade, ate a powder donut from a string, won a goldfish and played musical chairs (where he face planted into the dirt!). On Halloween we joined the neighbor kids for a trip to the library where he made is very fist mummy crypt and walked the cake walk about 10 times trying to win a cupcake. Eamon did his first trick or treating. We let him pick the candy from the bowls himself and then drop them into his bucket. Some how he got through one of the wrappers and ate part of a candy bar. We didn't realize it until he started flapping his arms like he was flying! He sucked a lot of chocolate out of that wrapper!
Today his new trick was the high five. No one even knew he knew how to do that until Schmidty put his hand up. He also learned how to clap his own hands today which he thinks is really cool and really funny!!

The 9 month mark

I know, I know...its been months. Eamon has changed dramatically! He is crawling all over the place. He stands and is even trying to balance now. He is up to about 10 to 15 seconds, no hands! I'm just waiting for him to get sick of it all and stand up and run! That will be the day (a day very soon I'm sure)! He eats everything is site. He wants to eat when anyone else is eating! We were at Costco walking the aisles and he was grabbing at samples! He gets envious just seeing the food on the shelves. Amazingly he still only weighs 22 pounds. I say only because he's been at that weight for a couple months now. It must be all the squats he does! He says mom but only when really mad and it is always accompanied by crying, he says dad sometimes...otherwise the other thing you will get out of him are grunts, some babbling and of course motor boating with his lips thanks to Gina! I also taught him how to make fishy lips (those are the important things in life). We had a Halloween shindig in Rancho where he dressed up as a Happy Wisconsin cow. He will either be that again for Halloween or a Bee. We'll see if the weather decides to be 60 or 90. You never know. Otherwise family is well and we hope you are too. Jake is still Jake and wants nothing to do with this baby that has invaded his home!
Love to All!

Long time no contact.....

I know its been a very long time but Eamon is keeping me busy these days. He has a full schedule. We go to dance class (its more a sing and clap along), gymnastics and play and learn. He loves these! Its great interaction with other kids. He has also started daycare part time. No I didn't find a job yet. We are just trying to get him used to going. Other than that, the boy continues to get big. He is now eating vegeatbles: peas, green beans, broccoli, carrots and spinach. He's not big on avacado and doesn't care too much for bananas but we'll try again.

Here are a few pics from his 3 month session. He is going on Friday for his 6 month already!

Eamons First Vacation

Finally made it back from our trip to Wisconsin and Kansas. We had a blast but I think it was a bit too much for Eamon. In Wisconsin he met his 2 Grandparents, 7 Aunts and Uncles, 10 cousins, and even his 8 great aunts and uncles! It was an amazing time. He went to his first Brewer game in Milwaukee where he met a bunch of my friends. He even got to spend a night at my friend Gina's house while we went to a wedding (Therese's). He had his first rollover on solid ground too (the official first was on a couch which I think lent him some help). We then jetted off to Kansas for a weekend wedding.

Upon our arrival home, Eamon was exhausted. We did try to feed him his first helping of rice cereal sunday night. It didn't go over too well but the second one Monday night was a lot better! He is catching up on his sleep now.

Here are a few pics. You can copy and paste this link in a browser for more: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2025593&id=1036012917&l=07db84c96f

Just another day in So Cal

Little fish in a big world

The latest adventures

4/19/2009

Eamon rolled over for the first time at the Sandvigs. Mom was out shopping at a boutique and dad in the bathroom. His audience was Justin and Jennie and George and Jessica. He did it again shortly after for mom and dad to see.

4/23/2009

Eamon had his first visit to Disney! He got a specialin even. Our first attraction was the tiki room which he loved. He was mesmerizedby the talking birds and all the lights. The tunes were pretty catchy too. The second thing he loved was Mickey Mouse house. Hewasn't too interested until the end where they had a big screen playing cartoons. He loved it! He even got to meet Mickey but seemed more interested in the employee taking the pictures. He met three princesses who he paid no attention to: snow white, cinderella and jasmine. He wasn't even bothered by a life sized Pluto! He did take a liking to the Buzz Light year ride, Pinnochiosflight and Mr Toad-again its the lights. He was interested in the pirates of the carribean with all the sparkly jewlery but I don'tthink it was his cup of tea to be in the dark that much. Speaking of tea, he had projectile vomit just watching the tea cup ride. If he ever wants to go on that, he hads to take his dad. Last ride of the day was Finding Nemo which he liked for the first half, then he got tired and passed out. Good day though. Souvenirs include one cars onesie and a spinning light up pirates thing.

Second attempt at the wild animal park. First attempt was 4/18/2009 and was a fiasco. Two leaky bottles and screaming child! The rest of the time he slept.

4/25/2009

Second attempt wasn't much better than the first. He did enjoy feeding the larikeets. I had three at one time and was terrified

Approch to 3 months

I can't believe how time flies! In a few days Eamon will be 3 months already! He has really reached a lot of milestones in the past few weeks: he sleeps in his own room in his big crib, he is no longer being swaddled, he talks and reaches for his little stuffed animals, he babbles alot!, and he has found his hands (we thought this would help with sleeping since he wakes up and wants his pacifier but he seems to only be able to find them during the day-of course!). Here are a few random shots of him lately.

Thumpity Thump Thump

We went to see the Easter Bunny today. He got all dressed up in his adorable clothes and then he wouldn't wake up when it was picture time! Oh well. He is still just so cute!

Baptism

Yes it was a while ago but I have finally figured out how to download the pics from my new camera. Now onto more sophisticated business...trying to get the videos! As you can see not many were taken with my camera:)

Happy St Patty Day!

Here is Eamon in all of his St Patty gear. You can see that it is a bit small since he has outgrown his NB clothes and is into 3 months already (you did not miscalculate, he is only 2 months). He got several bibs so he wore them all!
